A very floral Saturday here! Planning my flower pa A very floral Saturday here! Planning my flower patch for this spring and summer couldn’t be more fun. Lots of seeds to sow, some prefer an indoor beginning and others loving to start as they mean to grow outdoors! 😆🌸 Flowers are great at adding colour to our outdoor space. Even more important though for our bees 🐝 and other beneficial wildlife, which then help with pest control .. the natural organic way! Hope you’ll be adding some floral beauties to your outdoor space too! Happy Saturday everyone and stay cosy, we’ve been promised some of the cold white stuff here in London tonight! ☺️🤞🏼☃️Thank you for adding to my flower collection! @mrsbeesgarden 🤗🌸💚
A beautiful sunny day here! This is my spinach pla A beautiful sunny day here! This is my spinach planted in a recycled wash basket in late summer and I’ve been harvesting leaves all through autumn and winter. As you can see I only harvest the outer leaves to allow the inner young leaves to carry on growing. This way I get several harvests from the same plants. Not long before I’ll be picking again! Happy Friday and hope you had a share of the beautiful winter sunshine today .. cheers to a lovely weekend! 🤗💚🍹All grown from seeds sown in summer. Early spring is a good time to start again! 😉🌱🌿
Can’t wait for these! Chillies take a while to g Can’t wait for these! Chillies take a while to grow and ripen so they are one of the first seeds I sow. My list for 2021 is sorted with some of my favourites and a few new ones that I’m trying out too. Are you growing chillies too this year, and is it the searing hot ones that do it for you or the sweet spicy ones? 🤗🌶🌱 I’ll be sowing these at the beginning of February so that by the time they germinate, the daylight levels here will have improved. It’s wise to have grow lights if you’re sowing this month, otherwise the chilli seedlings will become leggy. A step by step guide with tips for growing chillies from seeds successfully and my favourites, all on my blog and the link is in my profile for you! 😉🌱🌶
